[ blue was an efficient creature, when it came to planning the cheapest possible travel across the country. henry was perfectly fine with that, even if he and gansey combined have the sort of funds that would allow them to travel anywhere first class and sleep on perfectly feathered pillows.

that wasn't the point. they wanted to see the world and live the world. not observe it from high rise hotels or planes. but feel the heat of the tarmac on their faces, the burn of the after noon sun, hear bird song and feel the shade of a canopy above their heads.

henry was happy to have found people who were as curious about the world as he was. blue was beyond great, as a person. not only would their trip be financially economical, but also environmentally so. thanks in part to ronan's gift. which currently rests in silence by the side of the road, gansey asleep in the backseat. henry leans on the hood, then decides to take a seat on it, pulling his knees up and hugging them. that counts as stretching, right? ]

Tell me, lady, how many days of walking do you have prepared for us? [ a fact he knows, since they went over the maps and the routes enough times, the three of them, but still. he likes the way she gets when she talks about the things she wants to see. henry, too, wants to see every park, every canyon. ]

Ones slightly more formal than phone selfies, but yes. This was my way of subtly trying to see if anyone would be on my side if I chose to wear a colorful tie with my robes at graduation.
